At North American Towing Academy we believe in educating tow truck drivers across the United States for a better and safer tomorrow. For that reason we included a broad spectrum of classes in our program.

Our first class that we offer is our Light & Medium-Duty course. This course includes topics such as the basics of a tow truck, hazmat & biohazards, and overall responsibilities of the tower or employer. The class last up to 3 hours for lecture and then 3 hours of hands on experience. We understand that the pandemic has made it difficult for crowds to meet, therefore we have made the hands on portion an elected part of the program. If chosen, the hands on portion will give demonstrations of the methods taught on in class. It will also give each participant a chance to practice as well as be given educational correction on their techniques.

Our second class that we offer is our Heavy-Duty course. As one of our most popular courses, we are proud to offer students the ability to further their knowledge and experience level through this class. Like the light-duty class, this course covers the responsibility of the towers, hazmat & biohazards, and the basics of a heavy-duty tow truck. However it furthers the curriculum with topics such as formulas for distribution of weight, incident management, and heavy-duty towability. This course also offers a hands on portion that can be added if so chosen and due to the current pandemic is not a requirement for passing the course.
